Don’t you ever wish you could travel back to the Saturday night dance? Take a spin across a glassy floor, to a swinging live band under sparkling lights?

Dance Makers Collective present the Saturday Night Social: a night for dancing to live music played by beloved Riverina bands!

About the Social

Playing in Cootamundra and Ganmain, the dancers will come to you during the week for a free participatory workshop where you will get the chance to learn some dance choreographies and get in the spirit of the night. Then, on the Saturday night, a local band will light it up with tunes from the past, blasting us back to a time where a dance social was the essential event to meet people and share in collective euphoria.

Dance Makers Collective will facilitate the dancing to get the whole room involved, keeping the energy high and the spirits higher. They will be joined by the Lock Stock & Bingle band at the Arts Centre Cootamundra (as part of the Festival of Turtles), and the Tin Shed Rattlers at the Ganmain Hall.

Whether you have a dance partner, like a night out on the town, or have a boogie in your bedroom, The Saturday Night Social is the place for you!
