| | The C Word: Craft in Response to Gender and Representation
Associated with production and practicality, situated primarily in the home and domestic life, Craft has historically been “feminised” and its value as an artform diminished.
“The C Word: Craft in response to gender and representation” invites local female artists who work in craft and design to respond to the marginalisation of craft through new work that seeks to explore craft’s longstanding association with the feminine.
