Local projects get Arts & Cultural funding

We are always excited to see arts projects funded in our region. Congratulations to these legends who have received projects funding from CreateNSW - we were proud to support your proposals and look forward to working with you as you create beauty, connection and wonder across our region!

Owen Lyons, Wiradjuri Yadhaa Dreaming Project ($28,439) Wiradjuri Artist Owen Lyons will create an art installation in Lockhart depicting Narrungdera Wiradjuri history/culture pre-settlement. Eastern Riverina Arts supported Owen and his team to develop this proposal (big shout out to Fran Day OAM, our amazing Lockhart culture guru and representative on ERA's Regional Advisory Committee), and will auspice this project.

Milk Crate Theatre, Milk Crate Theatre Retrospective: 21 years of Reclaiming Narrative ($37,403) Milk Crate Theatre, who will bring their "21 years of Reclaiming Narrative" exhibition and workshops to Museum of the Riverina. Eastern Riverina Arts facilitated the connection between Milk Crate Theatre and will support the development of community workshops accompanying the exhibition.

Natalie Fisher, Silk Inroads ($35,705) Natalie will work with diverse communities in Wagga to explore the visual heritage of the ancient Silk Road and its juxtaposition with contemporary needlepoint. Eastern Riverina Arts assisted the artist to connect with artists, experts and communities within Wagga Wagga as she developed her proposal.
