Join us for a drink after work tomorrow night and be inspired by a behind the scenes look at works in development by local creatives!
Katrina Roe will be presenting her work ‘The Stolen Child’ - a middle grade manuscript for children aged 9 -12 which recently won first place at the CYA competition in the published author category.
Elaine Camlin will be presenting her recent printmaking explorations created during her recent artist residency at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery.

| | Hand: Held: Hold Exhibition
See works in progress developed by local artist Elaine Camlin. Working across cyanotypes, monoprint, drawing and watercolour the works explore a shift in scale, with an experimental and responsive approach to materials and subject.
The exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to be witness and respond to an artist's process, with works being further developed over the duration of the exhibition.

| | Country Arts Support Program (CASP) - applications now open! Are you an artist looking to level up your creative practice in 2024? Are you a group, collective or company with a bold creative project in the works?
There are two streams available through the Eastern Riverina Arts Country Arts Support Program to support proposals for 2024: For Individuals, max $750 – for professional development or the realisation/presentation of an ambitious artistic outcome, or For Projects, max $3000 – for original creative projects and collaborations that meet the eligibility criteria.
In 2024 Eastern Riverina Arts is also offering one-off Eastern Riverina Festival Audience Boost grants, max $2500 – for festivals to undertake marketing, promotion and audience engagement activities in 2024. | | | Murun-dhu (I Live, I Breathe) First Nations ConcertWagga Wagga’s Riverside precinct will host the city’s first 2024 Australia Day community event, ‘Murun-dhu’ – I Live, I Breathe organised by Mawang Gaway with support from First Nations individuals and organisations, and in partnership with the Australia Day 2024 Community Committee and supported by Wagga Wagga City Council.
The event will open with a smoking ceremony, followed by family-friendly activities and a concert featuring First Nations musicians and artists including rapper Ridzyray with Dookie and Lollipop Lawrence.

| | Writers at the Woolshed: A two day festival for writers and readers
Writers at the Woolshed is a two-day festival for readers and writers held in support of Dolly's Dream. On Saturday 20 April, Writers in Conversation with Margaret Hickey brings Chris Hammer, Patti Miller, Karen Viggers, Inga Simpson, Hayley Scrivenor and Alison Pouliot to the CSU Playhouse Theatre.
That evening, a Paddock to Plate Dinner at Cottontail Winery features entertainment by two times Archibald finalist and winner of the Doug Moran Portrait Prize, David Thomas who will paint a portrait in an hour.
On Sunday 21 April, their writers will lead a series writing workshops while David Thomas will lead a workshop on plein air landscape painting.

| | Wagga Wagga School of Arts Community Theatre February Fundays!
Taking place on Sundays in February, this year February Fundays features two great plays performed back-to-back.
First, School of Arts theatrical veteran Dennis Blackett directs Andy Moseley’s drama and pathos filled paean to love, loss, and the King of rock and roll in ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight?’.
Next, Craig Dixon brings to life the electric farcical comedy in ‘Three Chairs by Roger Gimblett’.
The performances will take place on the second, third, and fourth Sundays in February.
