Eastern Riverina Arts is seeking to commission a series of A3 works on paper by local artists to form a core body of work within ERA’s art collection.
Commissioned artworks will be displayed in the meeting rooms, offices and event spaces of the Station Creative Workspace at 54-58 Johnston St Wagga Wagga, providing an exciting opportunity for artists to leave their mark in Wagga Wagga’s bustling new creative industries hub.

Dance Makers Collective and Eastern Riverina Arts present Make It Happen: a short skills development program for creative practitioners and producers to refine their skills in making project or program ideas come to life. Participants will learn: How to position your work effectively: systems, design and values-alignment strategies Working with people: stakeholders, clients and marketing approaches How to deliver: project management and evaluation tools

The Station Creative Workspace has fully furnished office suites available that might be a great fit for you, or someone you know. Each suite includes: a standing desk, ergonomic chair, high-speed WiFi, kitchen access, AC & heating, and 2 hours of monthly meeting room and digital studio use. The Station is home to the Wagga Business Chamber and also hosts regular creative networking events, workshops and exhibitions, providing lots of opportunities to meet potential clients and collaborators on site.

| | | Rock the Villages: mini-tour of Filthy Rocks
Thanks to Wagga Wagga City Council, Eastern Riverina Arts presents Rock the Villages: a mini-tour of Filthy Rocks! Filthy Rocks is loud, crunchy and effortless fun throwing back to the best of 90s alt-grunge. The band will bring original live music to the community halls at Ladysmith and Uranquinty, featuring supporting act Connor Hodges. There will be a community fundraiser BBQ at both events as well as drinks for sale at the Uranquinty Hall. Get a pre-winter kick from these young rockers!

Join Dance Makers Collective in two solid evenings of joyous dancing with your partners, family and friends in Cootamundra (Festival of Turtles) and Ganmain. This event, a spin-off of Dance Makers Collective’s 2020 Sydney Festival hit The Rivoli, takes inspiration from the peak dance hall and disco eras of the 1960s and 70s, reimagined for the modern lover of dancing.

Xander Starbuck is a rollicking space adventure presented in the style of live Radio Theatre by See Me Hear Me Theatre. Xander is a space cowboy, a loveable rogue who smuggles his way around the galaxy, avoiding the law and living on the edge. He is handsome with a rakish smile and loads of boyish charm. The ladies love his gentle Southern US accent and impeccable manners, and the bad guys want him dead because he sticks up for what he believes and doesn't back down in a fight. Fast with his fists and ray gun, he has adventures around the cosmos with his companion Sparky, a cute but ferocious cyber dog.

| | Music in the Regions Acacia Quartet Tour to TarcuttaAustralia’s finest string ensemble, Acacia Quartet, paired with phenomenal international guests, Emile Cantor and Laurentiu Sbarcea, form an incomparable string sextet touring the Riverina and South-West NSW this April. Performing two of the most beautiful and well-loved string sextets, Dvorak’s Op. 48 and Brahms’ Op. 36, this tour also includes the world premiere of a new work from Australian composer Lyle Chan.

| | Pictures and Things by Carol Slattery
In an exhibition on display now at The Curious Rabbit, Carol Slattery's three dimensional "things" use vintage and found objects in unexpected combinations. These visually intriguing works provoke different memories and associations in the viewer. Carol Slattery is a textile and mixed media artist. Needle and thread is used to draw onto layers of open weave fabric producing works of depth and complexity.
