Eastern Riverina Arts (ERA), the peak arts, culture, and creative industries organisation in the area, seeks an inspiring and strategic Executive Director to lead our dynamic team and drive meaningful impact.

In this influential role, you’ll be at the forefront of regional cultural and community leadership, fostering innovation, collaboration, and cultural development. Supported by the Board of Directors and with a talented team at your side, you’ll champion arts and cultural initiatives, build transformative partnerships, and advocate for the sector on a local and statewide level.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead with Vision: Deliver Eastern Riverina Arts’ strategic plan, ensuring our programs and initiatives are impactful, inclusive, and sustainable.

  • Build and Foster Partnerships: Collaborate with funding bodies, councils, creatives, and partner organisations to enhance ERA’s profile and sustainability.

  • Strengthen the Riverina’s Creative Ecosystem: Oversee transformative sector development programs including The Station Creative Workspace, CreativeRiverina.com and the Riverina Touring Network.

  • Inspire and Empower: Cultivate a positive, high-achieving organisational culture that supports professional growth and empowering community engagement.

What We’re Looking For: You’re a proven leader with a passion for arts and culture, bringing strong strategic, financial, and people-management skills. You’ll have experience in arts, cultural and business development, program delivery, and stakeholder engagement, coupled with a commitment to inclusivity and sustainability. With strong networks, and an entrepreneurial spirit, you’re ready to amplify ERA’s impact.

Period of Employment:  Full Time, ongoing. A 6-month probationary period applies.

Remuneration: $90,000 - $98,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications + superannuation in line with the Super Guarantee. In addition, a work vehicle is provided (reasonable private usage included).

Working Hours:  Full-time 38 hours a week. Some weekends and evenings will be required, and a flexible working hours agreement is in place.

Location: The position will be based in Wagga Wagga. The Executive Director regularly attends events and meetings across the Eastern Riverina Arts Service Region.
