| | Country Arts Support Program (CASP) - applications opening soon! Are you an artist looking to level up your creative practice in 2025? Are you a group, collective or company with a bold creative project in the works?
There are two streams available through the Eastern Riverina Arts Country Arts Support Program to support proposals for 2025: For Individuals, max $750 – for professional development or the realisation/presentation of an ambitious artistic outcome, or For Projects, max $3000 – for original creative projects and collaborations that meet the eligibility criteria.
Applications open: Monday 16th December 2024, 9:00am Applications close: Monday 3rd February 2025, 9:00am

| | | Distance Makes the Art Grow Fonder III Join the Temora Arts Centre for the opening of Sam Sharman's latest exhibition, Distance Makes the Art Grow Fonder III - The Rural Avant-Garden, on 29th November at the Temora Arts Centre. The evening will feature an artist floor talk at 5:30pm, providing insights into Sam’s innovative works. To complement the exhibition, enjoy ambient post-rock music with light drums, guitars, and possibly saxophone or clarinet performances, creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout the evening. | | Myanmar Humanitarian Aid Music Concert
The Rvwang Community of Wagga Wagga are organizing a fundraising concert at the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre in December
The concert will raise urgently needed funds for those in Myanmar affected by the recent devastating floods, which have compounded the ongoing hardships from the civil war.
The funds will also support internally displaced people in Myanmar and contribute to the development of our local Rvwang Community here in Wagga Wagga.

| | Workforce Australia: Mutual obligation requirements for Visual and Creative Artists
Join the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) for a free online information session to help artists and arts workers navigate mutual obligation requirements under Workforce Australia’s Points Based Activation System (PBAS). The Department of Social Services will also be in attendance to discuss the income testing rules.

| | Riverina Touring Network presents: Trinket the Robot - by Little Wing PuppetsThe story of a little Robot who longs to become "real"... but is he ready for what it means to be alive?
After a delightful tour of A Little Bit of Blue last December, Little Wing Puppets are back with a new puppet show!
Based on the tale of Pinocchio, Trinket the Robot is lively, funny, interactive and explores emotions and offers ways for children to understand different feelings.

| | Art Speak Exhibition: Truth
Over the past four months, five artists from the supported studio, the Art Factory, have been participating in a program called ‘Art Speak’, facilitated by Artist-Curator Sarah McEwan from theCad Factory, an arts organisation trying to reimagine the world through contemporary art practices.
The resulting exhibition called “Truth” explores how each artist lives their truth in exciting, loud and proud ways. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the dress code is come as the truest version of yourself! There will be lucky and unlucky door prizes given out.
Visit and support five local artists, Dave Nicholls, Lilly Salmon, Jennifer West, Adrian Bustin and Lorraine O’Hara share their truth.

| | EOI: Artworks for Finley Health Service Redevelopment The NSW Government has committed $25 million to the Finley Health Service redevelopment which will enhance the current health facility and ensure health care services are carefully planned to meet community needs now and into the future. Murrumbidgee Local Health District are seeking interest from local creatives to develop artwork that will inspire and comfort patients, visitors and staff in public and clinical spaces. Applicants with strong community links to Finley, and the Riverina, who are living within the Murrumbidgee LHD are encouraged to apply. There are two opportunities available.
