98 Fitzmaurice Street, Wagga Wagga – Eastern Riverina Arts showcasing artists from within our region 24/7 in our shopfront window
Growing up farming on the mid north coast gave Bec Cutler an appreciation for the land & nature.
“I studied Art all through school but am mostly self-taught. I consider myself a mixed media artist, my family consider me a bit of a bower bird, collecting random items that I see have possibilities.”
Sustainability, recycling, reduction in plastic usage & slow fashion are edits to her cause.
Returning to the country & making a home in the Coolamon Shire has allowed her to reconnect with a creative side she had put aside (during her corporate city life) & explore various mediums such as printmaking, sculpture, pottery & eco-printing.
Eco-botanical printing combines her love of nature, gardening, art & textiles.
It is a kind of alchemy, as much art as it is science. The results are achieved wholly with plant pigments, tannins and natural mordants. No artificial dyes are used in the process.
Every item is unique & handmade using paper, leather, natural textiles & hand foraged flora to create wearable art, functional items & artworks.
