Ever dreamt of seeing your artworks in a popular Sydney Gallery? Looking to reach out to metropolitan gallery owners or curators but, don’t know where to start?
BEC Business Advice is hosting Sydney-based artist and Utopia Art Gallery owner, Chris Hodges, for a public discussion on how to break into the Sydney art market.
Enjoy a sumptuous morning tea at Coolamon Cheese and hear Mr. Hodges reveal the best ways to position yourself in the cut-throat art world.
An artist himself, Christopher has been exhibiting regularly since the late 1970s and has seen the changing tapestry of the art world and the effect of modern technology. He began his gallery Utopia Art Sydney in 1988, representing indigenous and non – indigenous artists in a contemporary context.
Christopher has also participated in the broader art community serving on the Board of the Melbourne Art Fair and was founding chair of The Melbourne Art Foundation. He was also on the Directors Council at the MCA and the Exhibition Committee for the SH Ervin Museum.
Mr. Hodges is an active participant in the art world, an active member of many of our public institutions and a supporter and advocate for art as an integral part of our community.
The event will be held at the Coolamon Cheese Factor on Wednesday May 15 from 10:30am-12:30pm.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
