The Far South Film Festival is extending the deadline for entries to this year’s festival.
The new deadline for entries is 31st May at 11.59pm AEST.
The Festival is offering this extension to ensure a greater selection of short films from regional filmmakers. As the Festival is a voice for regional filmmakers it is important that those creating films and screen content in all regional areas in Australia have the opportunity of entering their creations to the Far South Film Festival.
Those that have entered their films already are still in the running for selection and the Festival thank them for their entries.
This year the Festival will be both a live event held in Merimbula, on the far south coast of New South Wales, as well as online, streaming across Australia. The Festival will be held over the weekend of 20-22 August 2021.
Films by youth up to 25 years are particularly encouraged. The Festival will include short films (under 40 minutes) from regional voices, Q & A sessions and an Awards Ceremony, streamed live.
