This month we welcome Wiradjuri Elder, Aunty Kath Withers, to the Window
This painting is titled, “Dancing at the Wetlands.” Aunty Kath’s works have been collected by the National Gallery of Australia, Museum of Victoria, Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Australia Museum and in various nation and international private collections. Over the past 5 years she has been able to share her culture in many different organisations. Shine for Kids and Colourful Dreaming program is held at the Junee Correctional Centre and is where she teaches selected Aboriginal inmates and their children about their culture through art. This includes Painting, Drawing, Weaving and Printmaking.
