Debbie incorporates her Kamilaroi heritage and cultural background into her work, giving it a contemporary interpretation. She utiles a variety of mediums to express herself throughout her art and weaving.
She has been involved with The Wired Lab and works out of her studio at home . In 2019, she was part of the Wagga Wagga Art Trail and also enters many art shows across the Riverina.
Debbie has a real passion for art and uses several different mediums from oils to acrylics.
When weaving, she predominantly uses raffia which she hand dyes, emu feathers and any other feathers made available to her. Debbie also uses the local natural grasses and pine needles, she is strongly influenced by what she see in her environment.
Debbie says she is a “bit of a dreamer always looking at what and how I can create something new and different.”
