Ever dreamt of seeing your artworks in a popular Sydney Gallery? Looking to reach out to metropolitan gallery owners or curators but, don’t know where to start?
Eastern Riverina Arts has teamed up with BEC Business Advice to host Sydney-based artist and Utopia Art Gallery owner, Chris Hodges, for a number of one on one advisory session following his ‘The Art of Selling Art’ presentation in Coolamon on May 15th.
Mr Hodges is a prominent sculptor who has a exhibited regularly since the late 1970’s. His works feature in many public, private and corporate collections, including the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria and Queensland Art Gallery. In 1988, he became the founder of the Utopia Art Gallery, where he still resides as the director. Over the last 30 years, the Utopia Gallery has represented a number of iconic regional artists as Emily Kame Kngwarreye and members of Papunya Tula Artists such as Ronnie Tjampitjinpa and Makinti Napanangka.
We are seeking expressions of interest for artists from our region interested in taking part in rapid fire one-on-one meet-and-greet with Mr Hodges. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to talk with Mr Hodges and present a small portfolio of works for him to consider.
All sessions will be held in the Eastern Riverina Arts offices in Wagga from 3:00pm-4:00pm on Wednesday May 15th.
