We are excited to be partnering with two of the most innovative organisations at the forefront of what some describe as “arts and disability” on a new project. RealArt Works and Tralala Blip are coming to Wagga Wagga and want to meet up with local artists with and without disability to collaborate on an exhibition and performance at the Wagga Art Gallery in September 2015.

Funded by Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and ARTS NSW through Regional Partnerships (NOTHING IS) USELESS is a creative exploration around our compulsion to consume the new and it will ask the questions, What is Useful? what is Useless? It will use obsolete technology to create an inteactive exhibition and performance using sound image text and light by local and visiting professional and emerging artists with and without disability.

Real Art Works are co-ordinating two information sessions in May.

  • Wednesday May 27 6pm at Eastern Riverina Arts 98 Fitzmaurice St Wagga Wagga
  • Thursday May 28 10.30am at the Wagga Art Gallery

This is a professional opportunity for artists with and without disability. Successful artists will be paid a fee for their participation in the collaboration as well as the opportunity to create individual and collaborative work that will be exhibited a the highest level locally.

Artists would need to commit to a development period leading up to the exhibition in September and be available for a three day development in early August.
