Eastern Riverina Arts is pleased to offer a free workshop for community arts organisations.
The workshop will cover an overview of the funding programs Regional Arts NSW devolve from state and federal government (the Country Arts Support Program and the Regional Arts Fund), the Australia Council (including a focus on the Community Partnerships Fund), and Arts NSW funding programs. A presentation on general grant writing techniques and project planning will be given and there will also be a “hands on” workshop session dealing with writing and assessing applications, based on the Regional Arts Fund application process.
The workshop will be presented by Ben Sibson, funding officer at Regional Arts NSW. Through his history as an arts practitioner and administrator, Ben has seen grant processes from the perspective of an applicant (both successful and unsuccessful), a member of assessment panels, and an administrator of funds, and will share the insights that these differing viewpoints have provided.
