The show had a successful run in May with an opening reception in Tumut on May 3. Former mayor of Tumut Shire Council, Sue Bulger, gave a beautiful speech about how the artworks in giilanggalang weaved together a wider history of Aboriginal culture and effectively shed light on the current practice of passing down stories. Curator Melanie Evans and ERA Executive Officer Scott Howie also remarked on the hard work of the artists and their commitment to sharing their stories with the community. The show moves on to Junee, Temora and Cootamundra through the month of June.
