CHRISTOPHER ORCHARD

Christopher Orchard is currently employed full-time as a Lecturer in Photography in the School of Communications and Creative Industries at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga Campus. He currently holds a Bachelor of Arts (Multimedia: Web-Design), a BA Multimedia (Hons) and is undertaking Postgraduate study at CSU and writing towards a study on transcendental nature and the work of mourning in progress particular to the photographic medium.
 
Christopher is a founding member of the Australian Center for Portrait Photography; Australia’s leading resource and archive for contemporary social documentary photography in the portrait genre supported by PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Christopher is the editor of the photographic journal International Journal on the Photographic Portrait, the Australian Portrait Quarterly and has been flagged as a guest editor for Fusion Journal; writings on the communication arts.
 
Christopher is the presiding officer and manager of the purpose built 'H.R. Gallop Gallery' at Charles Sturt University and as such chairs the S.C.C.I. Gallery Committee.
 
Christopher Orchard is an internationally exhibiting photographer who’s work is currently held in private and public collections internationally. With works from his most recent series 15days touring Essex Junction Vermont, New York, London, Paris and finally coming home to be shown in the 'Links Gallery' from May 4th to 24th June.
